Nerea Sholl Woods has been an associate attorney with Law Office of Andrew K. Nietor since 2018. Nerea graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with a B.S. in psychology. In 2010, Nerea received her J.D. from the University of San Francisco, School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of California in December 2010. During law school, Nerea interned in various non-profits including Bay Area Legal Aid, Community Legal Services of East Palo Alto, and Immigration Center for Women and Children. At University of San Francisco, School of Law, Nerea participated in the child advocacy clinic, where she represented minors in the dependency system as a certified law student.
After graduating law school, Nerea was a staff attorney at Cooperative Restraining Order Clinic in San Francisco, California where she assisted survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in obtaining restraining orders through family court and civil court. Nerea was also a staff attorney with San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program (SDVLP), where she provided full representation to survivors of domestic violence in their family law matters, including divorce and child custody. In her experience as a family law attorney, Nerea built strong litigation skills that she was able to carry with her when she made the shift to practicing immigration law.
Nerea currently represents individuals in removal proceedings in immigration court. Additionally, Nerea has experience with U-Visas and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, and is our Program Manager for the Children's Counsel Program. Nerea was born in Barcelona, Spain and is a native Spanish speaker. Nerea is a member of the State Bar of California and American Immigration Lawyers Association, San Diego Chapter.
